![]() "You Majored in What?", by Katharine Brooks is an informative and problem-solving book about the struggles of finding a job that occurs after graduating college or university. I was recommended this book by my sister, a job-hunting university graduate. I would describe the book to be witty, engaging and interactive, as it has short activities to do as you read. "You Majored in What?", teaches you several lessons that are important when planning out your life or trying to find a job, such as what you major in doesn't have to automatically equal your job or pay grade, it depends how your location and other factors. One of the biggest things I learned was chaos theory, the idea that unexpected things can change your entire life's course. While I am not a university graduate, this book did help my understanding of the job market and lessen some of my anxiety about university and my future. I think that this book can still benefit high school students as it is helpful in understanding how your specific skills and knowledge can help you plan out your life just by writing it on a piece of paper. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is also feeling anxious about their future and needs some help figuring out what they want to do. -Krishma S
