![]() Mick is a biography written by Christopher Andersen. In this book, the author reveals Mick Jagger’s career stages throughout his life; his involvement with the Rolling Stones, as a solo artist, as well as juicy details on his personal life. Based on interviews received from Mick himself, Keith Richards (fellow band member), his children, ex-wife, and ex-girlfriends, this book provides a real view on Mick Jagger’s life. Some of the content is a bit risqué, but very interesting to read about. Mick was born in Dartford, England and comes from a comfortable middle class upbringing. As a teenager he began to rebel and assert his own individuality which led to the decision to pursue a career in music when he was about 18. In the year of 1962 the Rolling Stones were born. Nobody could have imagined the influence the Stones would have on every rock and roll band since. Even today, 51 years after they hit the big time, they are still together, performing, and big as ever. For all you music fanatics, this book is for you. This book not only describes his life as an adult but as an adolescent which helps you relate to him, and appreciate his contribution to the Rolling Stones and to music in general. I was totally engaged in this book because of the realism and research put in to the book and the excitement of his life. I definitely recommend this book to any Stones fan, and even if you are not, this book will help you appreciate the pure awesomeness of Jagger. -Gabriella Hall
