![]() The classic "show about nothing" really, couldn't be simpler. There's Jerry Seinfeld; the successful stand up comedian. There's George Costanza; Jerry's inseparable, bald, unemployed friend who continues to lives with his parents. There's Elaine Benes; Jerry's fiery ex-girlfriend . And finally, there's Cosmo Kramer; Jerry's wacky neighbour. Known as only Kramer, one cannot truly describe him with anything more clear than a "hipster doofus". Set in Jerry's Manhattan apartment, this 90s sitcom revolves simply around Jerry and his friends. As for a background story, it really is a show about nothing. Seinfeld is a classic sitcom just as funny today as it was in July 5th 1989 on it's pilot episode. In fact, Seinfeld was such a successful show that the cancellation of the show was all over the front cover of the New York Times for almost one week. Seinfeld's funny jokes have resulted in famous quotes such as "not that there's anything wrong with that", "serenity now" or "yada yada yada", forever to be negotiated almost immediately with the quirky sitcom. Even in everyday life, I find myself laughing at regular everyday phrases people say because Seinfeld has managed to turn normal, boring things in to a joke. Seinfeld is arguably one of the greatest sitcoms of all time and is your reliable go-to entertainment when in need of some good comedy. -Gabriella Hall
