Just some random word vomit, beginning with a 'story starter'.
The roller coaster stopped and we were left upside down..
The coaster clung to the metal bars that were the tracks, unmoving. I grasped to the bars that held me in the coaster, my mouth in a voiceless scream. I looked over to the stranger than sat beside me, his wide eyes shimmering with tears of terror. He grinned, like this was some sort of joke, like the operators would do this to make the ride even more exhilarating. This thought crossed my mind, but I refused to believe it. I heard a small child shriek with fear behind me. There were children on this ride, what kind of maniac would attempt this feat? The metal rails groaned, not used to holding this kind of weight for a long period of time. People were muttering to themselves or their friends and family, not entirely sure what to do. I could hear the tourists below us shuffle out of the roller coaster's shadow, looking up with mouths agape. Employees rushed around, looking for assistance, or someone to get the roller coaster moving once more, I wasn't sure. The metal tracks creaked again, sending a flurry of screams from the people on board again. I felt the roller coaster try to come back to life, inching forwards in small bursts. The butterfly in my stomach eased for a moment, before fluttering back to life once we stopped. I sighed out of frustration, looking over to the man beside me. His grin was still there, plastered on his face like paper mache. I stared, confused, at him. He didn't get time to scream as the shoulder restraints lifted, sending us tumbling out of the seats.
