![]() “On October 31, join participants across North America and the UK and take action to collect non-perishable food items at school and in the community. Collect as many canned goods as you can to help support your local food bank and raise awareness about local hunger.” - Free The Children The Me To We group is running the “We Scare Hunger” food drive! Starting last week and finishing this week, you’ve got lots of time to collect canned food for a great cause! It’s a competition between E Block classes, we want to see who can bring in the most non-perishable food items! The lucky class that collects the most food will get a Tim Hortons breakfast. Helping a fantastic cause and getting a prize? What could be better! The Me To We group is also collecting baby items such as baby food, diapers and formula, so bring in whatever you can spare. Not sure how to get the most cans to win?! Try “trick or treating” on Halloween for canned food donations instead of candy. We’re sure the families will be happy to give you a can of soup instead of some teeth-rotting candy, especially for this great cause! All these donations by you wonderful people are going to the South Delta Food Bank to help out local people who may not be as fortunate as we are and need a little extra support for people around our community. “No one should go hungry, but 870 million people around the world do every day—some of them in our own backyard.” - Free The Children In Canada:
