On Friday, thousands of teens skipped class to gather in support of climate action at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Speakers commented on how our environment is quickly coming to its demise. Teenagers marched through the streets of Vancouver chanting and cheering about the need to deal with our climate problem including; fossil fuel burning, carbon emissions, overall trash pollution and much more. #FridaysForFuture was inspired by @GretaThunberg, a young teen who skips class every Friday to sit and protest in front of the Swedish parliament buildings and pleads for action. This protest caught the eyes of many people, like Vancouverites, journalists and news reporters such as CBC and Global News. It was very interesting to participate in such a massive progressive protest with everyone being under 18 being so inclined and educated about the matter.
