BREAKING DOWN THE WALLS AT SDSS
This week (the 15th-18th of October) breaking down the walls took place. Although emotional, breaking down the walls was overall an amazing experience for everyone who attended. The light-hearted and fun beginning contrasted with the emotional and truthful ending - creating the perfect balance to help us break down our walls. I learned more about the people around me and learned how to be empathetic to their experiences. I met some really amazing people that I wouldn't have ever spoken to otherwise. Breaking down the walls taught me that no matter what I am going through, I am not alone. I think it was worthwhile experience and I'm glad I did it!

Last week South Delta Secondary took part in celebrating Terry Fox's legacy by taking a walk around the community. Everyone was excited to take a break from the classroom and get outside for some fresh air to commemorate Terry Fox. Students and staff brought in Toonies as a donation to the Terry Fox Foundation. The school raised an outstanding total of 1176 dollars towards furthering cancer research, good job SD!
