Interact hosted a clothing drive to provide clothing to those in need in our local community until February 28th this year. The donations that were received all went to a cause in the Lower Mainland that they have worked with for many years called Freshwave Ministries. Staged as a competition between the classes, classes had two weeks to bring in any unwanted or unused clothes in their house and the class that had the most clothes, calculated by weight, won. The class that put the most effort into this fundraising competition was Ms. Koot's Block E class. They won themselves a Tim Hortons breakfast. Overall, Interact raised 312 pounds worth of clothing for the less fortunate! That’s a lot! But let’s hope that next year we can better ourselves and collect even more clothes than previous years. Keep the giving spirit going SDSS; be sure to support more events that Interact has to offer in the future!
